This is the ongoing chronicle of a writer who borrowed a mountain of debt to earn two degrees in Creative Writing and then lost the plot. His many boxes of old college notebooks and papers contain the lost scribblings of an aspiring writer who did not achieve his dream. At least, not yet...
Writing now what he could have written then, can he finally make peace with his overpriced education? More importantly, can he still become the writer he borrowed all that tuition to be?
The Challenge
Starting with the first day of Freshman year through the last day of graduate school, to comb old notebooks, weekly planners, and story drafts for ideas that never made it into writing. Every idea. No exceptions. To give each story an earnest effort, no matter how embarrassing or absurd the idea may seem now.
Frequent blog posts will document the process, and at least one original short story/play/poem/essay/woodcut/whatever will be posted to the website at the end of each week. It is for you, the reader, to enjoy or revile. Constructive comments are always welcome.
